Limitless is a movie with an interesting premise, though the science is wonky. Seriously, who still believes we only use 10-20% of our brains? Brain imaging has shown that memory retrieval is tied to several areas of the brain, depending on the sense memory and other factors.
Still, the MacGuffin plot-driver is intriguing: juicing the brain until you can think clearly, remember clearly, and see connections more clearly. The ending is unsatisfactory, and there are some cardboard Russian gangsters and some tissue-thin peeks into Wall Street finance. The lead (Bradley Cooper, who looks like a young Ralph Fiennes) and Robert De Niro, though, turn in a couple of solid performances.
